CPNP Notification Is Not EU Product Approval

A CPNP submission records product information. It does not replace a safety assessment, a complete dossier or an appointed Responsible Person.

In this guide

  1. Notification and compliance are separate
  2. Before a product is notified
  3. What a service provider delivers

Notification and compliance are separate

The official portal receives specified product information. Notification is a recorded regulatory step, not a certificate or a government evaluation of the product’s safety.

Before a product is notified

The dossier, safety assessment, final label and Responsible Person arrangements must be considered together. The notification record does not resolve missing supporting evidence.

Product-specific scope

The final requirements and suitability of existing evidence are determined for the actual formula, intended use and markets.

What a service provider delivers

Your service quotation should explain what information will be prepared, who handles the notification, what confirmation is recorded and how subsequent changes are managed. The portal itself is free.
